I just finished reading this book two weeks ago and I loved it! This is the first LaVyrle Spencer novel I've read and because of it I plan on reading more of her novels.
At first I wasn't sure if I'd like this or not but the more I got into it; the harder it was to put down. I knew after finishing it I wanted to buy it. The story is about a young woman named Miss Abigail who lives in a small Colorado town in the late s.
One day the train comes in and two men on board were injured in an attempted train robbery. One man is the hero and the other man is the supposed "train robber"; the latter being more seriously injured the other.
Miss Abigail is the only person in the town who volunteers to take them in and nurse them back to health. She finds the two men are completely different.
The first man she has more in common with and shares the same values. But the second man is rude and crude and gets under her skin but needless to say she starts having feelings for both guys.
